Suicide rate increased 40 percent in US from 2000-2017, mining, construction workers at highest risk: CDC report

The suicide rate in the U.S. has increased by 40 percent over less than two decades, with adults working in the mining and oil industry, as well as construction at a “significantly higher risk,” according to a report released on Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
