Midterm Election Poll: California’s 49th District, Harkey vs. Levin
This district includes southern Orange County and western San Diego County. Since 2000, the seat has been held by the Republican Darrell Issa, who was re-elected by a very narrow margin in 2016 and who announced his retirement in January. He was growing out of sync with an increasingly moderate area.
